Food safety training is mandatory across Australia under Food Standard 3.2.2A. Every food business must have:

  • At least one qualified Food Safety Supervisor

  • Food handlers who have completed food safety training

Note: NSW has additional requirements. Food Safety Supervisor training must be completed through an NSW Food Authority-approved provider. InstaCert (RTO 41127) is approved to deliver training and issue NSW Food Safety Supervisor certificates.

For requirements in your specific state or territory, visit your relevant state Health or Food Safety authority website.
